The young entrepreneur and Founder of IAMG Group is working to redefine how businesses understand communication, brand perception and the power of emerging technology.
New Delhi: As Indian entrepreneurs increasingly take homegrown ideas to global markets, a new generation is emerging at the intersection of business, technology and strategic communication. Among them is Tejas Baranwal, Founder of IAMG Group, who is building his work around an emerging discipline he calls Communication Intelligence.
Baranwal was recently recognised with the “Excellence in Strategic Communication & Brand Perception 2026” award at Rising Bharat Heroes – Season 2 in New Delhi.
His larger vision, however, goes beyond recognition. He aims to build an Indian-born advisory approach that can compete with global standards while bringing a distinctly Indian perspective to communication and brand strategy.
> “India is no longer just a market consuming global ideas. We are building ideas, businesses and technologies that can influence the world. I want IAMG Group to be part of that journey,” says Baranwal.
In Conversation with Tejas Baranwal
Q. What inspired you to build IAMG Group?
Tejas Baranwal: I realised that businesses often know what they want to say, but don’t always understand how the market perceives them. I wanted to build a platform that connects communication with intelligence, strategy and business decisions.
Q. What exactly is Communication Intelligence?
Tejas Baranwal: It is about understanding the complete relationship between a business and its audience—what the brand communicates, what people perceive, what influences that perception and what the business should do next. Communication shouldn’t just create visibility; it should create strategic value.
Q. Where does AI fit into this?
Tejas Baranwal: AI can help us analyse enormous amounts of information—from customer conversations and reviews to market behaviour. But I don’t believe the future is about using AI to create more content. It is about using intelligence to make better decisions.
Q. What does “making India proud” mean to you?
Tejas Baranwal: For me, it isn’t about saying that we are making India proud. It is about building something from India that can stand confidently on a global platform. If an idea developed here can create value internationally, that is meaningful.
Q. What is your vision for IAMG Group?
Tejas Baranwal: I want IAMG Group to evolve into a global Communication Intelligence advisory platform originating from India. We are at the beginning, but the ambition is global.
An Indian Idea With a Global Ambition
The rise of AI, digital media and increasingly informed consumers is changing the relationship between businesses and their audiences. Brand perception can now be shaped across social platforms, search, online reviews, media and AI-driven interfaces.
This is creating a new strategic challenge for companies: understanding not only what they communicate, but how they are perceived.
That is the space Baranwal believes Communication Intelligence can address.
His approach reflects a broader movement among India’s new-age entrepreneurs—building businesses that are not simply designed for the domestic market, but are capable of taking Indian thinking, innovation and expertise to the global stage.
For Baranwal, the journey is still underway.
But his ambition is clear: to build from India, think globally and make communication a smarter part of business strategy.
